There was no Australian team competing in Water Polo at the Maccabiah Games. Matthew' s father is American-born, so Matthew was eligible to play with the USA team for Maccabiah Games.

2014-2017 CIS selection to compete in 17yrs All Schools Competition

Matthew, at 14 years old, was selected for the 2015 Boys 17 & Under CIS 2nds Water Polo Team. They tied for 2nd place, beating a '1sts' team. In 2016 Matthew's CIS 1sts team won the tournament and Matthew was selected for the State team who won the Australian AllSchools Tournament. Matthew was again selected at this level to compete in the State team in 2017 and made the Australian Schoolboys team which ended in a draw V New Zealand.

Matthew was in the Development team for this competition. His first as part of 18s. Matthew was highest scorer for his team and earned a mention in reports.

Matthew's team made the grand final. He was top goal scorer for the whole tournament (and scored almost double the no. of goals than the next highest goal scorer in his own team)

2014 14s National Club Championships

This was Matthew's first attendance at NSW State and National Championships in the 14As and his very first Nationals,after playing waterpolo for less than 18 months. The team came 1st in State and 4th in Nationals. Matthew was selected for the 'tournament 7' team at State.
